Las semillas son de alto valor nutritivo, superiores a los cereales. Se cocinan como el arroz, solo que hay que lavarlos muy bien ya que contienen saponinas.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Clima:<\/strong> Se adapta a diferentes condiciones clim\u00e1ticas, es tolerante a la sequ\u00eda, a la h\u00fameda y al fr\u00edo, en su etapa adulta resiste hasta -5 \u00b0C.
